Is my image uploaded to a server?
No. Conversion happens entirely in your browser, and the image is never sent to a server.
When does the quality setting apply?
The quality slider only appears when you choose a format with adjustable compression, like JPG or WebP. PNG is lossless, so there's no quality setting for it.
What happens if I convert a transparent image to JPG?
Since JPG doesn't support transparency, the transparent areas are automatically filled in with a white background. Convert to PNG or WebP instead if you need to keep transparency.
Why does the converted file sometimes end up larger?
