No. Reading and parsing the file happens entirely in your browser and is never sent to a server.

Does it show images or the original formatting (fonts, layout)?

No. This tool extracts each chapter's text content into a readable plain format; images and the original formatting aren't shown.

Can it open EPUB files with DRM protection?

No. DRM-encrypted EPUB files can't be read and will show as an error. Only unprotected, standard EPUB files are supported.

Does it handle large e-books without trouble?

Yes. Chapter content loads one at a time as you click into it, so even a book with many chapters opens its table of contents quickly without loading everything upfront.
