Usage examples

Turning a CAD drawing into a print-ready PDF

Convert a DXF drawing into a PDF sized for A4 paper, so you can print it or send it to a print shop without needing CAD software.

Sharing a drawing as true vector data

Lines and text are embedded in the PDF as real vector data rather than a raster image, so the result stays crisp no matter how far you zoom in.

Making a PDF page that matches the drawing's own proportions

Choose "Match drawing aspect ratio" to get a page sized to the drawing's own width-to-height ratio instead of a standard sheet like A4.

Frequently asked questions

Can this convert DWG files too?

No. DWG isn't an openly published format, and there's no safely licensable parser for it that can run client-side, so only DXF is supported. Export your file as DXF from your CAD software ("Save As") first.

Is my uploaded file sent to a server?

No. Reading the DXF and converting it to a PDF all happen entirely in your browser — nothing is sent to a server.

Will the lines in the PDF look blurry?

No. Lines, circles, and text are drawn directly into the PDF as vector data rather than captured as an image, so they stay sharp at any zoom level.

Some elements are missing from the PDF.

Some elements like block references (INSERT), hatches, and dimension lines aren't supported yet and are left out of the conversion. Check the preview before converting to confirm the main lines and shapes look right.
