They're fetched from a public exchange-rate data provider (Frankfurter). That request only includes currency codes — never the amount you entered or any personal data.
Is the amount I enter sent to a server?
No. Aside from fetching the public rate data, nothing is sent anywhere — the conversion math itself runs entirely in your browser.
Are these rates accurate enough for real transactions?
These are reference rates updated on business days. For an actual money transfer or currency exchange, check the official rate from your bank or exchange provider.
