Usage examples
Checking what a QR code on a business card or poster says
When it's awkward to open your phone's camera app directly, upload a photo of the QR code to see its content right away.
Reading a QR code shown on a computer screen
For cases like a login QR code displayed on a monitor that's hard to photograph directly, upload a screenshot instead to read it.
Scanning a QR code instantly with a webcam
Point a camera connected to your laptop or PC at a QR code in front of you and scan it right away.
Frequently asked questions
Is my uploaded image or camera feed sent to a server?
No. QR code decoding happens entirely in your browser, and neither the image nor the camera feed is sent to a server.
Is the camera footage saved anywhere?
No. The camera feed is only analyzed in real time to find a QR code, is never saved anywhere, and the stream stops as soon as a code is found or you turn off the camera.
The QR code isn't being recognized. What can I do?
A blurry image or a QR code that's too small in the frame can make it hard to decode. Try again with a brighter, sharper image where the QR code fills more of the frame.
Can I open the result directly if it's a link?
Yes. If the scanned result starts with http:// or https://, an 'Open link' button appears so you can open it in a new tab right away.
