Is what I enter sent to a server?
No. The barcode is generated entirely in your browser, and what you enter is never sent to a server.
Can I enter any number for EAN-13 or UPC?
No. EAN-13 requires 12-13 digits, and UPC requires 11-12 digits. If the digit count doesn't match, an error message is shown.
Will this barcode actually scan at a real store?
It follows the standard specification for each format (CODE128, EAN13, EAN8, UPC, CODE39), so most barcode scanners will read it. For real retail use, though, you need an officially issued product code.
What format can I download the barcode in?
You can download it as a PNG image file.
