Usage examples
Opening a contact file without installing anything
Check the contents of a .vcf file you received by email before adding it to your address book app.
Reviewing a contact file with multiple people at once
When an exported contact file contains several people, see each one laid out as its own card instead of a wall of raw text.
Checking for garbled text in an older contact file
Confirm that names and notes display correctly even when an older VCF file uses a less common text encoding.
Frequently asked questions
Is my uploaded file sent to a server?
No. Reading and parsing the file happens entirely in your browser and is never sent to a server.
Can a single VCF file contain multiple contacts?
Yes. If a file contains multiple contacts, each one is shown as a separate card.
Can I add the contact to my address book directly from here?
This tool is just for viewing. To actually import the contact, open the original .vcf file using your operating system's or email app's 'import contacts' feature.
Does it show photos or attached images?
No. It currently displays only text fields like name, phone, email, address, and notes — photo data isn't shown.
