DXF to Image
Export a CAD drawing (.dxf) as a PNG, JPG, or SVG image.
Drag and drop a DXF file, or click to choose one
Only DXF files are supported (DWG is not supported)
Usage examples
Dropping a drawing into a document or slide deck
Convert a DXF drawing to PNG or JPG so you can paste it straight into a report or presentation as an image.
Exporting as SVG so it never looks pixelated
Choose SVG to keep the drawing as true vector data, so the lines stay crisp no matter how large you scale the image.
Saving a PNG at the resolution you actually need
Pick standard resolution for on-screen use, or high resolution for print or large-display use.
Frequently asked questions
Can this convert DWG files too?
No. DWG isn't an openly published format, and there's no safely licensable parser for it that can run client-side, so only DXF is supported. Export your file as DXF from your CAD software ("Save As") first.
Is my uploaded file sent to a server?
No. Reading the DXF and converting it to an image all happen entirely in your browser — nothing is sent to a server.
Should I choose PNG, JPG, or SVG?
PNG or JPG are convenient for pasting straight into a document or posting online. If you plan to edit it further in another graphics program or scale it up for print, choose SVG to keep the vector data intact.
Some elements are missing from the image.
Some elements like block references (INSERT), hatches, and dimension lines aren't supported yet and are left out of the conversion. Check the preview before converting to confirm the main lines and shapes look right.
