Frequently asked questions
Does my image get sent to a server?
No. The captions are drawn directly onto a canvas in your browser — your image never leaves your device.
Why isn't this exactly the Impact font?
Impact isn't guaranteed to be installed on every browser or operating system, so this tool uses a bold, condensed sans-serif that renders consistently everywhere to approximate the classic meme look.
What format is the result saved as?
It downloads as a PNG file, so images with transparency are preserved without quality loss.
