Usage examples

Numbering a report before submitting it

Add page numbers to the bottom center of a school assignment or work report so the printed order is easy to follow.

Showing "1 / 10" style numbering with the total page count

Choose the format that shows the current page alongside the total, like "1 / 10", so readers can see at a glance how much is left.

Numbering the body starting after a cover page

Set the start number to 0 or a negative value so the cover page or table of contents naturally falls outside the visible numbering.

Frequently asked questions

Is my uploaded PDF sent to a server?

No. Adding page numbers happens entirely in your browser, and the PDF file is never sent to a server.

What happens if the PDF already has page numbers?

The new page numbers are drawn on top of the existing content, so they may overlap. Use an original PDF without numbers to avoid duplicates.

Can it handle a password-protected PDF?

No. Remove the password with a PDF password-removal tool first, then use this one.

Can I exclude specific pages from numbering?

No. Right now, every page in the document is numbered using the same rule.
