Is my uploaded file sent to a server?

No. Reading and parsing the file happens entirely in your browser and is never sent to a server.

Can it handle large CSV files?

Yes, though for very large files it shows only the first portion of rows to keep the browser responsive. A notice appears on screen when you're viewing a subset.

What happens to values that contain commas?

Commas or line breaks inside a quoted value are correctly treated as part of that single value, so columns don't get misaligned.

Can I edit the file and save it back?

No. This tool is for viewing only and doesn't offer editing or saving.
