Frequently asked questions
Is my uploaded image sent to a server?
No. Color picking happens entirely in your browser, and the image is never sent to a server.
Could the picked color be slightly off from the original?
The image shown on screen is a downscaled preview, so pixels right on a fine edge could sample slightly differently than the original. Large solid-color areas will always give an exact result.
How many recent colors are kept in history?
The last 12 are kept — picking more pushes out the oldest entry.
Can I bring back a color from history?
Yes. Click any swatch in the history to make it the "Picked color" again so you can copy it.
